The Comedy Cellar, founded in 1981 in Greenwich Village, NYC, is a legendary stand-up comedy club. Known as the "Harvard of comedy clubs," it's a vital proving ground for comedians, fostering talent like Jon Stewart, Dave Chappelle, and Amy Schumer. Its intimate basement venue and showcase format offer a raw, engaging experience, where many comedy icons have honed their craft.
