Armed For Apocalypse formed in Chico, CA in the aughts, debuting with 2009’s Defeat (Ironclad). Known for low-tuned, riff-driven heavy metal. Their release Ritual Violence (Candlelight) was engineered by Kurt Ballou at God City.

Formed in 1990 from The Slugs, Crowbar blended doom metal and hardcore into a heavier, deliberate sound. Often tagged sludge metal, they’re a cornerstone of the New Orleans metal scene. Led by sole original member Kirk Windstein, they’ve released 12 acclaimed albums.
