Social Order, a darkwave band from Las Vegas, blends darkwave, post-punk, and synthpop. Founded by Mason Musso and Anthony Improgo, they've supported acts like Cold Cave.
Nick Cave, born in Australia, is a celebrated post-punk singer/songwriter known for his compelling storytelling. With his band, the Bad Seeds, he blends blues, gospel, and rock. His hits include "The Singer" and "Murder Ballads." Collaborations with Warren Ellis earned acclaim as film composers. Inducted into Australia's ARIA Hall of Fame in 2007, Cave's literary talent shines through his deep, dark lyrics, echoing legends like Leonard Cohen. Known for his haunting voice, Cave's work, including "Ghosteen" and "Carnage," explores grief and introspection.
Alison Moyet, born in Essex, is a British pop singer known for her rich, bluesy voice. She rose to fame with Yazoo alongside Vince Clarke before achieving solo success. Her debut album, Alf, topped U.K. charts with hits like "Invisible." Moyet explored synth pop, jazz, and orchestral styles. Notable albums include Raindancing and The Minutes. She toured globally and released several live albums, maintaining a strong presence on the U.K. charts. Neil Arthur and Stephen Luscombe, as Blancmange, were synth-pop pioneers in the 80s with hits like “Living on the Ceiling.” Known for collaborations with artists like Can, the duo reunited in 2011 with the album “Blanc Burn.” Post-Stephen's departure, Neil produced seven Blancmange albums and worked on side projects like Fader and Near Future.
Buzzcocks, formed in Manchester by Pete Shelley and Howard Devoto, helped shape British punk with energetic pop-punk tunes.
