Cryptic Brood and Coffins

Coffins is a Japanese death-doom metal band formed in Tokyo in 1996 by guitarist and vocalist Bungo Uchino. Noted for their raw, heavy, and low-end sound, the band blends old-school '80s and '90s death metal with slow, crushing doom metal, drawing influences from acts like Winter, Autopsy, and Cathedral. Their extensive discography features numerous split releases, EPs, and full-length studio albums including Mortuary in Darkness (2005), The Other Side of Blasphemy (2006), Buried Death (2008), The Fleshland (2013), and Beyond the Circular Demise (2019).
