Huntsville, Alabama instrumental surf-rock band Daikaiju debuted in 1999 wearing Japanese masks and pseudonyms. Released EPs Monster Surf (2001) and The Phasing Spider Menace (2002), toured Europe, and issued self-titled debut album in 2005.
