Dalida, born Iolanda Gigliotti in Cairo, Egypt, was a French-Italian singer. Known for pop, disco, and French chanson, she sang in 11 languages. Her hits include "Bambino," "Gigi l'amoroso," and "Paroles, paroles" (with Alain Delon). She sold over 140 million records, earning 55 gold records and a diamond disc, a pioneer for female artists. She remains a global music icon.
