Johannesburg-born South African blues-rock guitar virtuoso Dan Patlansky formed his first band at 16. His self-released debut Standing at the Station (2000) led to Blue Note’s True Blues (2004). Dear Silence Thieves won Blues Rock Review’s 2014 album of the year.
