Somi (Somi Kakoma) is a Midwest-raised jazz vocalist, composer, actor, and playwright with Ugandan and Rwandan roots. Her Grammy-nominated Holy Room: Live at Alte Oper made her the first African woman nominated in any Grammy jazz category.
