Darlin' was a short-lived French indie rock band formed in Paris in 1992 by schoolmates Thomas Bangalter, Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo, and Laurent Brancowitz. Named after the Beach Boys song of the same name, the trio released only a handful of tracks before a negative review in Melody Maker dismissing their music as "daft punky thrash" inspired the formation of Daft Punk and Phoenix following their 1993 disbandment.
