Influenced by Brubeck and Guaraldi, he gained fame with the 1987 Grammy-nominated "Every Step of the Way." Benoit has released numerous Top Ten jazz albums, collaborated with artists like Russ Freeman and Dave Koz, and worked on orchestral projects like 2022's "A Midnight Rendezvous." Notable works include the Vince Guaraldi tribute "Here's to You, Charlie Brown!" and the collaborative "David Benoit & Friends." His music encompasses elements of funk, fusion, and electronica.
