David Lowery and Camper Van Beethoven

David Lowery, born in San Antonio, TX, and raised in Redlands, CA, led Camper Van Beethoven and Cracker, gaining fame in '80s-'90s alternative rock. Camper Van Beethoven, formed in 1983 in California, merged punk, folk, ska, and world music with David Lowery's witty lyrics and Jonathan Segel's violin.
