Vapors of Morphine rose from ’90s alt-rock band Morphine, pioneers of “Low Rock” with baritone sax, 2-string slide bass and drums. Featuring Dana Colley and Jeremy Lyons, they released 2016 debut A New Low and toured Europe, Russia and South America.

Dean Wareham

Dean Wareham, born in Wellington, New Zealand, gained a cult following with Galaxie 500's lo-fi indie rock and later formed Luna, known for dreamy sounds inspired by Velvet Underground. Dean & Britta duo projects with Britta Phillips include acclaimed soundtrack contributions. Wareham's solo works, like 2021's "I Have Nothing to Say to the Mayor of L.A.," display his enduring indie rock influence.
