Die Seilschaft, founded 1992 in Berlin, is a German rock band known for honest music and profound German lyrics, with folk influences. Originally Gerhard Gundermann's backing band, they continue his legacy with frontman Christian Haase. Their songs are often called "balsam for the soul." They earned the Preis der Deutschen Schallplattenkritik and toured with acts like Bob Dylan. They have collaborated with artists like Wolfgang Niedecken. Albums include "Frühstück für immer" and "Dein Paket".
