Washington D.C.-born R&B star Ginuwine soared in the '90s with hits like "Pony." Collaborated with Timbaland, he became famous for a seductive style, securing a wide fanbase and multiple platinum albums. Known for powerful covers of Prince and MJ, he also made strides in acting and film.
Candyman, born John B. Shaffer III in South Central L.A., is known for the playful pop-rap hit "Knockin' Boots." A former Ice-T Rhyme Syndicate affiliate, he charted Top Ten on the Hot 100. Collaborating with Johnny J, Candyman released "Ain't No Shame in My Game" in 1990 and worked with producers like DJ Quik and Prince Paul. He appeared in Nas' "Where Are They Now" remix and partnered with J Bigga in 2011.
American R&B group Color Me Badd, formed in Oklahoma City in 1985, known for hits like "I Wanna Sex You Up". Sold over 12M records, won numerous awards, and appeared in films and TV. Only Mark Calderon remains from the original lineup.
Digital Underground, born in Oakland, mixed funky P-Funk samples with quirky styles and humor. Known for "The Humpty Dance" by alter ego Humpty Hump. Collaborated with Tupac, achieved platinum with debut album "Sex Packets."
