LineUp

Disco Inferno, formed in Essex in 1989 by Ian Crause, Paul Willmott, and Rob Whatley, were known for their experimental post-punk sound influenced by Joy Division and My Bloody Valentine. Despite early indifference, they gained a cult following in the '90s with releases like "D.I. Go Pop." Collaborators included labels Rough Trade and One Little Indian, which later compiled their influential EPs. The band dissolved in 1996, with Crause continuing to release music independently.
