DJ Hype, born in London, is a renowned drum'n'bass DJ known for his electrifying deckwork, including winning the 1989 DMCs for England. Transitioning from reggae/hip-hop roots, he became a force in the house and hardcore scenes, featuring on Fantasy FM and London's Kiss FM. Creator of Ganja Records, Hype produced hits like "Exorcist" and built influence with True Playaz. Hype's known for jungle music advocacy and his popular mixed compilation series, earning awards like Best Male DJ. Notable collaborations include DJ Zinc, Pascal, and Rude Bwoy Monty.
