Orlando, FL DJ/producer DJ Icey helped jump-start the city’s ’90s dance scene with breakbeat funk. Resident at The Edge, he invited the Chemical Brothers’ first U.S. appearance. His Zone Records single Galaxy Breaks was signed by Pete Tong to ffrr; released The Funky Breaks (1997) and Generate.

Orlando native DJ Magic Mike (Michael Hampton) is a gritty, old-school Miami bass producer. He debuted with 1987’s Boot the Booty, scored regional hits with Drop the Bass, and earned gold albums Bass Is the Name of the Game and Bass: The Final Frontier.
