The Brian Jonestown Massacre

The Brian Jonestown Massacre, led by Anton Newcombe since 1990, blends '60s psychedelia and shoegaze. Notable works include "Their Satanic Majesties' Second Request" and the film "DIG!" focusing on Newcombe's dynamic with Courtney Taylor-Taylor. Known for evolving styles, iconic albums include "Musique de Film Imaginé" and "My Bloody Underground." Despite frequent lineup changes, they remain indie rock pioneers, with recent releases like "Fire Doesn't Grow on Trees" and "Your Future Is Your Past" continuing their legacy. Based in San Francisco, they've influenced the psych-rock genre significantly.
