Israeli-born pianist Inon Barnatan, based in NYC, is known for Schubert, Beethoven, and contemporary works. He often collaborates with cellist Alisa Weilerstein and won the Avery Fisher Career Grant.
Ludwig van Beethoven, a German composer and pianist from Bonn, bridged the Classical and Romantic eras with his innovative, emotionally intense music. Renowned for works like the "Moonlight Sonata," Fifth Symphony, and Ninth Symphony, he revolutionized instrumental music, elevating it to high art. He continued composing despite profound deafness.
Founded in 1959, the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra quickly became a top U.S. ensemble under directors like Andreas Delfs, and renowned for collaborations with leading soloists. Known for its robust concert tours in Europe, Japan, and a historic Cuba visit, it boasts frequent broadcasts and celebrated recordings.
Roderick Cox is a Berlin-based American conductor from Macon, Georgia. A classical music trailblazer, he is celebrated for dynamic performances and commitment to diversity. He won the 2018 Sir Georg Solti Conducting Award and the 2013 Robert J. Harth Conducting Prize. He has led major orchestras globally and founded the Roderick Cox Music Initiative. His recordings include William Dawson's Negro Folk Symphony and Jeanine Tesori's opera Blue.
