He won the 2018 Sir Georg Solti Conducting Award and the 2013 Robert J. Harth Conducting Prize. He has led major orchestras globally and founded the Roderick Cox Music Initiative. His recordings include William Dawson's Negro Folk Symphony and Jeanine Tesori's opera Blue.
