New York-based jazz pianist Arturo O'Farrill, son of Chico O'Farrill, leads the Grammy-winning Afro-Latin Jazz Orchestra. He has collaborated with artists like Dizzy Gillespie and Chucho Valdés and is renowned for albums like "Song for Chico" and "Cuba: The Conversation Continues."
Ken Peplowski, born in Cleveland, is a top clarinetist and tenor player well-known for keeping swing and traditional jazz alive. Emerging in NYC in the '80s, he debuted with "Double Exposure" in 1988. Peplowski has collaborated with jazz icons like Benny Goodman and Madonna, and released acclaimed albums like "Sensitive to the Touch" and "In Search Of...". He won the Sarasota Jazz Festival’s "Satchmo" award and HotHouse Magazine's clarinetist of the year. His 2018 big band album "Sunrise" and 2019 duet "Counterpoint" with Dick Hyman showcase his enduring influence.
