Dopethrone, a Montreal, Quebec band formed in 2008, delivers abrasive sludge, stoner, and doom metal, often dubbed "Slutch." Known for their DIY ethos and lyrics on self-destruction and the macabre, their discography includes "Hochelaga" and "Transcanadian Anger." They released the studio album "Broke Sabbath" in 2024. The band gained early recognition performing at Roadburn 2012.
