Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart (1756-1791) was an Austrian composer of the Classical period. A child prodigy, he created over 600 works across symphonies, operas, and concertos. His music is celebrated for its clarity, balance, and melodic beauty, profoundly influencing Western music and remaining widely performed today.
The Chamber Orchestra of Philadelphia, founded in 1964, is a distinguished American chamber orchestra. Known for exceptional musicianship, it performs repertoire from Baroque to 21st-century works, championing new music with over seventy commissioned premieres. The orchestra is celebrated for dynamic, intimate performances and collaborations with renowned artists like Luciano Pavarotti and Elvis Costello.
Antonín Dvořák, a celebrated Czech composer, was born in Nelahozeves, Bohemia. A master of the Romantic era, he infused his attractive melodies and brilliant orchestrations with Bohemian folk influences, later incorporating American elements. He is renowned for works like his Symphony No. 9 "From the New World," Cello Concerto, Slavonic Dances, and the opera Rusalka. Johannes Brahms supported his early career. Dvořák is celebrated for popularizing Slavic music and his versatile compositional style.
