Earth

Earth, formed in 1989 in Olympia, WA by Dylan Carlson, pioneered drone and ambient metal with albums like "Earth 2". Known for hypnotic riffs and genre-defying music, they've collaborated with artists like Kevin Martin (The Bug) and featured guest vocalists like Mark Lanegan. Their evolving sound includes elements of Gothic Americana and psychedelic rock. Carlson, overcoming personal struggles, reformed Earth with drummer Adrienne Davies in 2003, delivering influential albums such as "Hex" and "Primitive and Deadly".
