Originating from New York, singer-songwriter Elliott Murphy emerged in the 1970s art rock scene, releasing his cult classic debut Aquashow in 1975. Though critically acclaimed, his albums struggled commercially in the U.S., prompting his 1990 move to Europe, where he built a loyal fanbase. Also a novelist, actor, and producer, Murphy has maintained a prolific, decades-long career.
