Enslaved are a Bergen, Norway metal band founded in 1991 by Ivar Bjørnson and Grutle Kjellson. Emerging from Norway’s black metal scene, they focused on Viking lore; their 1994 debut Vikingligr Veldi features mostly Icelandic lyrics.

Spectral Wound

Spectral Wound, a Canadian black metal band from Montreal, emerged in 2012, known for their virulent, melancholic style. They fuse raw aggression with atmospheric melodies, creating an intense sound. Notable albums include 2021's "A Diabolic Thirst" and 2024's "Songs of Blood and Mire." Popular songs feature "Frigid and Spellbound" and "Aristocratic Suicidal Black Metal." They are recognized for their impactful contributions to Canadian black metal.
