Eric Clapton is a blues-rooted rock guitarist known for the Yardbirds, John Mayall’s Bluesbreakers, Cream and Derek & the Dominos. He scored hits like “Layla,” “I Shot the Sheriff” and “Tears in Heaven,” and made the blockbuster MTV Unplugged album.
Born and raised in Dallas, Texas, Jimmie Vaughan is a Texas blues guitarist who co-led the Fabulous Thunderbirds (1979–87). He recorded Family Style with brother Stevie Ray Vaughan and later went solo with Strange Pleasure; Baby Please Come Home earned a Grammy nod.
Jimmie Vaughan is an American blues-rock guitarist, singer, and four-time Grammy Award winner based in Austin, Texas. He rose to prominence in the 1970s as a founding member and lead guitarist of the influential blues-rock band The Fabulous Thunderbirds before launching a successful solo career and fronting The Tilt-A-Whirl Band.
Sheffield-born blue-eyed soul singer Paul Carrack wrote and sang Ace’s 1974 hit How Long and voiced Squeeze’s Tempted. He scored hits with Mike + the Mechanics (The Living Years, Over My Shoulder) and won an ASCAP Song of the Year for Love Will Keep Us Alive.
