Erode

Erode is a blackened metallic hardcore band from Baltimore, Maryland, formed in 2022. The group consists of vocalist Marc Dyer, guitarists Devon Lawless and Mike Hale, bassist Kevin Cerda, and drummer Nick Thomas. Known for their dark, chaotic sound that draws influence from bands like 100 Demons, Morbid Angel, and Kickback, they released a self-titled EP in 2022 and a three-song promo in 2023. Their debut full-length album, Devout, was released in July 2025 via DAZE, featuring overtly negative lyrical themes exploring disillusionment, addiction, and depravity delivered through grim, grinding vocals and heavy breakdowns.
