Evgeny Kissin, born in Moscow, is a renowned pianist known for his Russian virtuoso style. He gained fame as a child prodigy, performing with top orchestras worldwide, including the Berlin Philharmonic and New York Philharmonic. Kissin, who studied with Anna Pavlovna Kantor, has won numerous awards, including three Grammys. He holds British and Israeli citizenships and has contributed to Romantic and Russian repertory through prolific recordings. He has also collaborated with the Emerson Quartet and composed for the Kopelman Quartet. Kissin opposed the Russian invasion of Ukraine in 2022.
