Cave In returned with Heavy Pendulum, their first proper studio album since 2009’s Planets Of Old. Recorded with Kurt Ballou at God City (2021), it features Nate Newton on bass/backing vocals and reunites with Ballou for the first time since 1998’s Until Your Heart Stops.

Eye Flys

Eye Flys, an east coast band with members from Full of Hell, Backslider, and Triac, are known for fierce precision and steel-barbed riffs. Their 2019 EP Context and album Tub of Lard showcase their raw power and inventive rhythms. With gravelly basslines and searing vocals, Eye Flys create hypnotic grooves, collaborating with Daughters and Torche.

Coalesce, from the Midwest, emerged in the mid-90s, blending hardcore with discordant noise. Known for experimentation, they've influenced heavy music deeply.
