Guitarist Bill Frisell, born in Baltimore and raised in Denver, is renowned for his versatile, emotive sound across jazz, Americana, and pop genres. Known for his unique guitar tone, he has released over 85 albums and collaborated with artists like John Zorn, Elvis Costello, and Marianne Faithfull. Notable works include his 1985 debut "Rambler" and the acclaimed 1997 "Nashville." He has also composed soundtracks and won the Deutsche Schallplattenpreis. Frisell's contributions to music span numerous collaborations and tributes, making him a celebrated figure in the jazz world.
Born in Fort Worth, Texas, Rudy Royston is a versatile drummer and percussionist known for his Jazz style. Raised in Denver, he was influenced by trumpeter Ron Miles. Royston studied at the University of Denver, then earned a Master's from Rutgers University. Collaborated with Jazz greats like Bill Frisell and Jason Moran, his notable albums include "303," "Rise of Orion," and "Flatbed Buggy."
New York-based musician Tony Scherr, known for his jazz style, plays bass and guitar. He’s performed with Woody Herman, Either/Orchestra, Lounge Lizards, and collaborated with Michael Blake, Sophie B. Hawkins, and Maria Schneider.
Violinist and composer Jenny Scheinman blends American roots, jazz, and folk. NYC-based for 13 years, she’s worked with Lou Reed, Brian Blade, and Bill Frisell, praised for her lyrical, genre-crossing style.
