Fernando began his career in 1965 with "Os Deltons", transitioning to "Os Sheiks" in 1966. Known for songs like "Cavalo à Solta" and "Tourada", he won the Festival RTP da Canção twice. His LP had lyrics by José Carlos Ary dos Santos, orchestrated by Dennis Farnon. Fernando also wrote books and engaged in visual arts. In 2016, he released "Outro Canto", earning the Prêmio Pedro Osório.
