Fiddlehead and Rival Schools

Fiddlehead is a Boston, Massachusetts-born post-hardcore supergroup, formed in 2014. Featuring members from Have Heart and Basement, they are known for their emotive blend of hardcore, alternative, and emo, often exploring themes of loss. Notable albums include "Death Is Nothing to Us" (2023), "Between the Richness" (2021), and "Springtime and Blind" (2018). They are recognized for their raw energy and thoughtful lyrics.

Rival Schools, formed in NYC, rose from '80s hardcore roots with members like Walter Schreifels and Sam Siegler of Gorilla Biscuits. Known for albums "United By Fate" and "Pedals," they melded Quicksand's intensity with melodic innovation, collaborating with Jonah Matranga for early EPs. Their powerful, creative rock defied clichés and garnered acclaim.
