Tygers of Pan Tang, formed in 1978 in Whitley Bay, England, are an English heavy metal band. A key part of the New Wave of British Heavy Metal (NWOBHM) movement, they are known for their raw, riff-driven sound and melodic approach. Early albums like "Wild Cat" and "Spellbound" achieved UK chart success, alongside the popular single "Love Potion No. 9". Their discography includes "Ritual" (2019) and "Bloodlines" (2023). Guitarist John Sykes was an early member.
