Formed from Dave Grohl’s 1995 solo project, Foo Fighters became a major modern rock band with hits like This Is a Call. Known for melodic alt-rock, they’ve won multiple Grammys and were inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 2021.

The Breeders

Led by Pixies’ Kim Deal, the Breeders helped shape early-’90s alternative rock. Their 1993 album Last Splash went platinum and spawned the hit “Cannonball.” Debut Pod (1990) reached #22 in the UK; 2018’s All Nerve hit the UK Top 10.
