Founded in 1912, it has played at Carnegie Hall and Kennedy Center, earning global acclaim for its 13 recordings. The FWSO collaborates widely, including with the Texas Ballet Theater and Fort Worth Opera, and resides at Bass Performance Hall.

He collaborated with André Previn, Eric Jacobsen, played a Stradivarius, and founded Canary Classics. Shaham was Avery Fisher Prize winner, and Instrumentalist of the Year (2012).
