Waking the Cadaver, from Sayreville, New Jersey, formed in 2006, pioneers a "slamming gore groove" blending brutal death metal, deathcore, and hardcore. Known for intense live shows and tracks like "Chased Through the Woods by a Rapist," they released albums including 2021's "Authority Through Intimidation." Vocalist Don Campan has collaborated on other projects.
