purplehearts is an industrial, nu-metal, horror-rock band from Missouri, Texas, and Louisiana, known for their dark, theatrical style and energetic performances.

The Purple Hearts, a British Mod revival band, emerged in 1977. Known for "Millions Like Us," they crafted punk-influenced melodic hooks, drawing inspiration from the Jam and the Who. Their notable albums include *Beat That!* and *Pop-ish Frenzy*. Initially called the Sockets, their debut single reached No. 57 in the UK. They toured with Secret Affair and Back to Zero and later reunited in 1984, performing intermittently until 2014.
