Southern California native Gary Allan bridges traditional honky tonk and country-rock, earning chart-topping hits like Man to Man, Tough Little Boys, and Every Storm (Runs Out of Rain). After starting his career in local bars, he released his debut album, Used Heart for Sale, in 1996, later issuing notable records including Smoke Rings in the Dark and Ruthless.
