He gained fame after winning "Funniest Serviceman in America" and appearing on BET's Comic View. Owen has released multiple comedy specials, including "Broken Family" and "Gary Owen… No S" in 2025, and "Back 2 Basics" in late 2024. He is currently touring North America.
