About the Band

Composer, Arranger, Bandleader Gerry Gibbs reunites with his Thrasher Dream Trio featuring Legends Ron Carter and Kenny Barron, along with Legends Randy Brecker and Chris Potter for a 5 night run at Birdland Jazz Club.

The Thrasher Dream Trio has recorded with many different special guests over the years, including Chick Corea, Cassandra Wilson, Roy Hargrove, Larry Goldings and many others. For this 5 night run, it will be with the Legendary Randy Brecker and Chris Potter.

Drummer Gerry Gibbs has recorded 17 solo albums which included producers such as Quincy Jones and featuring many of the greatest musicians of our time such as Chick Corea, Patrice Rushen, Ravi Coltrane, Christian McBride, Larry Goldings, Billy Childs, Buster Williams, and many others. Gerry's last 6 CDs have garnered 5, #1 CDs on the radio charts as well as 2 GRAMMY Nominations.
