Kaitlyn Aurelia Smith, from the Pacific Northwest, is an acclaimed avant-garde composer known for her unique blend of electronic, orchestral, and vocal sounds. She uses modular synths like Buchla and has collaborated with Danny Elfman, Suzanne Ciani, and Emile Mosseri. Her 2017 LP "The Kid" was named avant-garde album of the year by Rolling Stone. She has received commissions from Apple and Google.
