God Street Wine, hailing from NYC, is known for blending funk, reggae, folk, and blues-rock. Formed in the late '80s, their epic live shows gained a loyal fan base, "Winos." Notable albums include "Bag" and "$1.99 Romances." Their jam sessions drew Allman Brothers comparisons. They signed with Geffen and later Mercury, touring until 1999.
