Derwin Schlecker, known professionally as Gold Panda, is an English electronic music producer and songwriter from Peckham, London. Raised in Chelmsford, Essex, he began his music career releasing several small-issue records and singles in 2009, gaining acclaim with his breakout track "Quitters Raga." Signed to Ghostly International, he released his debut full-length album, Lucky Shiner, in 2010. His atmospheric, sample-heavy style bridges glitch-hop and experimental techno, as showcased across subsequent studio albums like Half of Where You Live (2013), Good Luck and Do Your Best (2016), and The Work (2022). Beyond his primary moniker, he has also explored house music as DJ Jenifa and ambient music under various side projects.
