Greg Abate

Greg Abate, born in Fall River, MA, is a renowned jazz saxophonist known for his hard bop style. A Berklee College of Music alum, he toured with Ray Charles and led bands in New England. Abate's acclaimed albums include "Straight Ahead," "Bop Lives!" and 2021's "Magic Dance." He collaborated with Phil Woods and Claudio Roditi and was inducted into the Rhode Island Hall of Fame in 2016. Abate also serves as an adjunct professor at Rhode Island College.
