Hori Shaw and Son & Water Announce Sounds of Summer Tour

Aotearoa roots-reggae stars Hori Shaw and Son & Water are joining forces for the Sounds of Summer Tour.

The tour will take to some of Aotearoa’s finest summer hotspots, kicking off at Opononi Hotel, Opononi on Sunday 27 December, then to Butlers Reef, Ōakura on Saturday 2 January, Coroglen Tavern, Coroglen on Thursday 7 January and Blackbarn, Havelock North on Saturday 9 January.

Fresh off the Aotearoa Music Charts, Hori Shaw and Son & Water are making waves across the motu, claiming the top two spots on the Aotearoa Top 20 singles. Son & Water secured their second #1 with 'SAW', from their highly anticipated debut album Still Burning, out now. The band brings together vocalist Daimond Porima Ferguson (Ngāti Kahungunu, Ngāti Ruapani, Ngāti Hikairo, Ngāti Hauā) and his father and Katchafire co-founder Jamey Ferguson (Ngāti Kahungunu, Ngāti Ruapani), carrying forward a legacy of Aotearoa reggae.

Ōpōtiki-born Hori Shaw continues his rise, with collaborations alongside Te Wehi, including 'Ready To Ride' and 'Catch A Wave' becoming mainstays in the charts and signature Aotearoa summer sounds. With multiple #1 hits, Platinum-certified singles and accolades including the 2024 Aotearoa Music Awards People’s Choice Award and 2025 Breakthrough Artist of the Year, Shaw has become one of the country’s most exciting roots-reggae artists.

With millions of streams, sold-out headline shows and growing audiences across Aotearoa and beyond, Hori Shaw and Son & Water are hitting new heights, giving fans the chance to catch them both on the same bill at Sounds of Summer Tour this December and January.
