Hugues Aufray

French folk troubadour Hugues Aufray, known for adapting Bob Dylan's music into French, gained fame with hits like "Santiano" and "Celine." Born in Neuilly sur Seine, he built a repertoire of Latin American and Georges Brassens songs before a record deal at Barclay. Representing Luxembourg in Eurovision 1963 and opening for Johnny Hallyday, his "Aufray Chante Dylan" boosted his fame.
