Brooklyn-based saxophonist Immanuel Wilkins, raised in Philadelphia, is known for his empathetic jazz. His debut album Omega was the #1 Jazz Album of 2020 by The New York Times. His quartet, featuring Micah Thomas, Daryl Johns, and Kweku Sumbry, also shines in The 7th Hand.
Guitarist Bill Frisell, born in Baltimore and raised in Denver, is renowned for his versatile, emotive sound across jazz, Americana, and pop genres. Known for his unique guitar tone, he has released over 85 albums and collaborated with artists like John Zorn, Elvis Costello, and Marianne Faithfull. Notable works include his 1985 debut "Rambler" and the acclaimed 1997 "Nashville." He has also composed soundtracks and won the Deutsche Schallplattenpreis. Frisell's contributions to music span numerous collaborations and tributes, making him a celebrated figure in the jazz world.
