With over 20 Grammy nominations and millions of albums sold between them, the Indigo Girls and Melissa Etheridge have defined a generation of rock and foe-fusion music. Amy Ray and Emily Saliers of the Indigo Girls first met in elementary school and have been making music together professionally since 1985, recording hits like Closer to Fine, Power of Two, and Galileo. Singer-songwriter and guitarist Melissa Etheridge is blessed with an easy audience rapport and a smoky, Janis Joplin-caliber warble, qualities that made the 62-year-old rocker a star (Washington Post). She has graced the Billboard charts with tracks like I'm The Only One, Like The Way I Do, and Come To My Window. MELISSA ETHERIDGE and INDIGO GIRLS will contribute two dollars ($2.00) total from each ticket sold to benefit their nonprofit charitable organizations: The Etheridge Foundation.
