Despite a leukemia diagnosis in 2005, he released acclaimed albums including *Everything in Transit* and *The Glass Passenger*.
Born in California, Beck is an acclaimed alternative icon known for his genre-blending style. His 1994 hit "Loser" marked success, dispelling one-hit-wonder predictions. Odelay (1996), created with the Dust Brothers, fused funk, soul, and hip-hop, earning Grammy accolades. Beck has collaborated with Jenny Lewis, Pharrell Williams, and Paul McCartney, winning multiple Grammys, including Album of the Year for Morning Phase (2015). His artistic roots are deep, influenced by his musician parents, and he remains a versatile figure in music, constantly evolving his sound.
Austin-born Gary Clark Jr., a versatile guitarist/vocalist known for blending blues-rock with funk, hard rock, and hip-hop, won a Grammy for his album *Blak and Blu*. He's collaborated with Alicia Keys, Foo Fighters, and Eric Clapton, and opened for the Rolling Stones. His politically charged *This Land* earned four Grammy nominations. Clark’s dynamic career includes notable performances, film scores, and collaborations with John Legend and Tom Morello.
Anna Graves, a Minnesota-born singer-songwriter, blends vulnerability with resilience in heartfelt folk-pop. Known for “Bluebird” and “Hollow Bones,” she’s opened for Stevie Nicks and Maren Morris.
Boyz II Men, a quartet from Philadelphia, are the most commercially successful R&B group, famed for lush ballads and harmonies. Mosshart also collaborated with Jack White to form The Dead Weather. Their music reflects a mix of grit and sleek rhythms.
