Salif Keita, born in Mali, overcame cultural rejection as an albino to become the "Golden Voice of Africa." He rose to fame with the Rail Band and Les Ambassadeurs, before launching a successful solo career in Paris. Known for fusing African music with jazz, funk, and pop, he worked with artists like Carlos Santana and Cesária Évora. Grammy nominee, his acclaimed albums include Soro, Amen, and Moffou. He won France's Best World Music award for La Différence in 2010 and retired in 2018 after Un Autre Blanc.
London-born producer, singer, and songwriter James Blake melds R&B vocals with dubstep. Known for hits like "Retrograde" and "Limit to Your Love," his 2013 album Overgrown won a Mercury Prize. He’s collaborated with Beyoncé, Kendrick Lamar, Bon Iver, and Frank Ocean. His albums, including 2019’s Assume Form, have earned Grammy nominations.
Anoushka Shankar, born in London, is a Grammy-nominated sitar virtuoso known for blending classical and contemporary music. She's acclaimed for albums like "Rise" and "Land of Gold," which explore diverse themes from personal introspection to global issues. A prolific composer and collaborator, her work also extends to film scores, publishing, and activism.
Sam is a pivotal figure in British music, renowned for his inventive folk style and live event promotion through The Nest Collective. His debut, “Ground Of Its Own,” was Mercury-nominated, and “Lovely Molly” won a BBC Folk Award. Named Artist of the Year by Songlines in 2016, he contributed to Guy Ritchie’s “King Arthur” soundtrack. “Old Wow+” features electric guitar from Bernard Butler and guest artist Elizabeth Fraser. Sam also champions environmental causes like Extinction Rebellion.
